South Common Community Centre is a vital focal point of civic life in southwest Mississauga, serving hundreds of community members. The revitalization of the facility entailed the redesign of the existing Safe Room, Front Desk, and staff work areas to accommodate user needs. ward99 architects’ team worked closely with the City's staff to understand the issues; and proposed a design that modernizes the front desk space experience making it more interactive and welcoming for the users while ensuring safety and accessibility considerations are addressed.
