Heritage-Listed Dufferin/St. Clair Branch Library is a one-story double height library building built in the 1920s. After undergoing several renovations over the years, in 2006 Toronto Public Library decided to revitalize the library building to highlight the architectural heritage elements of the building. The revitalization involved the complete interior renovation of the ground and basement levels, the removal of the exterior stucco finished walls, the restoration of the interior wall murals, and two building additions to increase public space and provide for an accessible entrance. The project won a City of Toronto Building Design Award.
