Armadale Community Centre

Location: Markham, Ontario
Client: City of Markham

The Armadale Community Centre renovation project, for the City of Markham, saw the revitalization of the community centre’s multi-purpose rooms as well as the modernization of the building’s reception area. These improvements increased the facility’s usability, while providing the entrance with an inviting atmosphere featuring modern aesthetics.

The main entrance to the community centre was renovated, with the addition of a new information desk and display cases. This modern and appealing design created a more welcoming space to greet the community centre’s users, while providing dedicated display cabinets to showcase the facility’s programming.

Within the community centre, multi-purpose rooms 1, 2A&B, and 3A&B underwent revitalization, with refreshed millwork, kitchenettes, and new flooring. These changes worked to brighten the space, while resolving any wear and tear issues in the space from prior programming. The use of durable and low maintenance materials was essential in the revitalization process, ensuring that the multi-purpose rooms can be enjoyed for years to come.
