Licensed Architect or Senior Technologist

We are currently seeking candidates for the following positions:

A Licensed Architect or Senior Technologist with 10+ years of post-graduate full-time Canadian architectural office experience. The successful candidate should have experience with institutional buildings and their construction.  We are looking for someone who is interested in the opportunity to grow and develop with the firm and become part of its leadership team.

For this position, the ability to produce design and working drawings that communicate design and construction intent in a clear, accurate and timely manner is a critical asset. The candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

  • Experience with Institutional projects and work experience within a local office.
  • Candidate should be able to prepare design drawings using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, as well as the Adobe Suite of software.
  • Candidate should be able to showcase ability in the production and coordination of working drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of building systems, envelope design/detailing; OBC code requirements.
  • Extremely detail oriented with strong design sensibilities.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects in parallel and maintain high-quality results.
  • Motivated, well organized, articulate, friendly, responsible, committed, and very enthusiastic.
  • Field and office construction administration experience is required.
  • We are looking for candidates who are ambitious, self-starters, willing to take on challenges, and happy to work with our team in an open office environment.

Duties May include:

  • Preparation of Design Drawings and meeting minutes.
  • Preparation of high quality contract documents for SPA, permit, tender and construction.
  • Coordinate with consultants and governing authorities.
  • Coordinate with product representatives and furniture manufacturers.
